Our top stories from June 2020

A variety of articles drew readers’ attention last month, including financial problems at an ITAD firm’s parent company, hazardous waste crimes, a processor’s plastics investment and more.

The list below shows our top stories published in June in terms of unique page views.

Because of mounting financial problems, Chinese government officials have seized control of the parent company of Ingram Micro, which has a global ITAD division.

2 | Guilty pleas in Wisconsin CRT stockpile case
Leaders of a Wisconsin e-scrap processor were charged with violating federal regulations covering the storage and transportation of CRT glass. The defendants signed plea deals in the case.

3 | Processor installs e-plastics sorting line
A major North American e-scrap company has invested approximately $1.5 million into a plastics cleanup line, partly to get ahead of tighter international rules on plastics exports.

4 | Changes coming to Microsoft’s PC refurbisher programs
Over 1,700 North American computer refurbishers will be affected when Microsoft consolidates its refurbisher programs this year. The tech giant pledged to continue providing software licenses to them, but questions about cost remain.
