Founded in 1989 in Portland, Oregon, Resource Recycling Inc. is the recycling industry’s trusted source of news and analysis, with three nationwide print and digital publications specializing in plastics (Plastics Recycling Update), e-scrap (E-Scrap News) and municipal recycling and the recycling industry as a whole (Resource Recycling). Resource Recycling is printed as a monthly magazine, while Plastics Recycling Update and E-Scrap News are printed annually.
We’re accepting feature story pitches for all three print magazines. Before you submit your idea, bear in mind that the recycling industry and recycling programs are our audience, not the general public. Tell us what they can expect to learn from your reporting and why it matters. Topics of interest include both the private and public sides of the recycling industry and the full variety of collected and processed materials. We will consider opinion and first-person accounts but give priority to reported pieces that incorporate a variety of sources and hold to a strict standard of accuracy and fairness.
