News from Glencore, Honda and more

Recycling and waste processing tech firm eFACTOR3 is partnering with sorting technology provider Steinert, with a new showroom and test facility in South Carolina. 

Glencore will receive $600 million (US $395 million) in federal and state funds over three years to bail out its copper smelter and refinery in Australia. 

Automaker Honda opened its new Resource Circularity Center in Ohio, which processes retired equipment, office electronics and vehicle service parts.

Battery recycler SK tes released its annual sustainability report, noting it had increased reuse and recycling volumes in 2024 by 21% and 41%, respectively, and server processing volumes rose by 120%.

International E-Waste Day Oct. 14, held by the nonprofit WEEE Forum, comprising 50 waste electrical and electronic equipment PROs globally, will spotlight critical raw materials.
