News from CNET, EG America and more

CNET published a survey that found 31% of U.S. adults hold onto their discarded devices because they don’t know what to do with them. The survey also found 19% of U.S. adults toss their old devices in the trash.

Convenience store conglomerate EG America partnered with ecoATM to bring mobile device trade-in kiosks to some of its 1,500 U.S. stores.

Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful opened a third recycling center, in South Beloit, to accept hard-to-recycle items including electronics and textiles. 

The National Recycling Coalition is seeking speakers to present on topics related to this year’s theme, “Strategies for Circularity,” with proposals due May 15. 

OnePlanet secured $7 million to produce critical metals from recycled solar panels.

Redwood partnered with Lime Micromobility to expand its work on recycling medium-format batteries, such as those for e-bikes and scooters.
