Following Liberty Waste’s acquisition of AJ Disposal in February 2026, the company is once again broadening its reach in the North Carolina Triad market.
The Allied-backed waste services provider has acquired Randolph County Garbage Services, an Asheboro-based residential subscription provider serving customers across the greater Greensboro and Triad region.
The state’s Piedmont Triad comprises 12 north-central counties in the Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point metro areas, with about 1.7 million residents.
Liberty CEO Rick Prather noted the company’s “trusted reputation” in the area, saying the deal strengthens Liberty’s investment in the market.
“This acquisition deepens our commitment to the Triad and reflects our continued focus on delivering reliable, high-quality solutions to the communities we serve,” he said.
The Randolph acquisition is the latest in an accelerated buy-and-build strategy since Allied Industrial Partners took a major stake in Liberty – then known as Wall Recycling – in 2022.
Since then, the company has upgraded its fleet, deployed advanced routing and dispatch technology, and expanded its service offerings. Liberty divested its scrap metal division in April 2024 to concentrate on a vertically integrated waste solutions structure.
Bradford Rossi and Philip Wright, Allied’s co-founders and managing partners, framed the acquisition as a continuation of that trajectory.
“Randolph County Garbage Services is a thoughtful, strategic addition that deepens Liberty’s presence in a key market and supports our shared focus on sustainable, long-term value creation,” they said in a statement.
Financial terms of the transaction were not publicized.
