Life cycle management services company Clover Environmental Solutions acquired all of America’s Remanufacturing Company’s operating assets for an undisclosed amount.
America’s Remanufacturing Company (ARC) is a Georgia-based vertically integrated life cycle management company that offers returns management, remanufacturing and recommerce for OEMs, distributors and retailers, a press release stated.
It services a range of products, including small home appliances, small consumer electronics, floor care, home comfort, powered hand tools and outdoor power equipment.
George Milton, CEO of Clover Environmental Solutions called the acquisition a “pivotal moment in our diversification and growth strategy.”
Clover Environmental Services used to be part of a larger company, called Clover Technology Group, that was involved in printer cartridge remanufacturing and mobile device repair. In late 2019, Clover Technology Group sold off what was then called Clover Imaging (recently renamed Clover Environmental Services). The company kept Clover Wireless, the mobile device management company. Shortly after selling Clover Imaging, Clover Technology Group filed for bankruptcy to restructure its debt.
Since spinning off of Clover Technology Group, Clover Imaging has undergone a refocusing, changing its name to Clover Environmental Services and broadening its focus into sustainable lifecycle management services.
“The infrastructure, relationships and expertise that ARC has established during its 21 years of operation, coupled with Clover’s expansive geographic footprint, advanced engineering capabilities and financial resources, uniquely position the combined entity to go to market with true end-to-end returns management and recommerce solutions in North America,” he added.
David Hogan, ARC CEO and president, said the acquisition will allow Clover to reduce costs to clients.
“No other consumer products returns and remanufacturing company in North America can provide the services of the combined Clover-ARC entity,” Hogan said. “This is a game-changer for the consumer products returns space.”
