Oil prices are hitting a seven-year high, following tension around the latest COVID-19 variant and Russian pressure on Ukraine.
Prices for scrap PET containers increased by about 10% this month, and the decline in natural HDPE values leveled off.
HDPE bale prices have continued to collapse from their record highs, with natural HDPE down 26% and color HDPE down 33% this month.
Post-consumer plastic values are down nearly across-the-board this month, with materials recovery facilities reporting a particularly steep drop in HDPE pricing.
