The regrind in both regions is produced mainly from post-consumer and post-industrial scrap HMW drums and intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) and totes. The price differential reflects customer requirements, contract terms and other factors.
HDPE HMW repro was done last week at 45 to 48 cents per pound picked up Southeast, unchanged from the previous week.
In the prime polyethylene market, spot prices were flat to lower, and the market appeared to be in balance.
More LDPE availability was noted on both export and domestic fronts, while HDPE IM supply remained tight.
