The Oregon Beverage Recycling Cooperative (OBRC) announced that Jules Bailey, promoted to CEO and president in January, has left the organization, effective immediately. Former president and CEO John Andersen will step in as interim CEO and Troy Ballew, chief operating officer, will become the interim president.

Coca-Cola India launched a 100% recycled PET bottle for carbonated beverages. 

The Corrugated Packaging Alliance (CPA) released a third-party-reviewed life cycle assessment showing that the industry achieved a 50% per unit reduction in greenhouse gas emissions between 2006 and 2020. 

Eco-products launched Controls Intended to Remove Contamination (CIRC), a compost contamination mitigation program. 

The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) launched the Fiber Recycling Readiness Tool, a research-based online resource that assesses the compatibility of typical consumer fiber-based packaging with the U.S. residential recycling system. 

Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed HB 3060, an update to an existing chemical recycling law, which amends the 2019 language to include new technologies and authorizes the state to identify third-party verification systems to validate products. 

The West Tennessee Regional Recycling Hub received a $495,000 grant from The Recycling Partnership to upgrade its facility. With matching funds, the total amount available for the project is $825,000.
