Tide Rock Holdings has purchased yet another e-scrap company, expanding its reach outside of California.

On Sept. 20 the firm acquired Full Circle Electronics for an undisclosed amount, following its February purchase of Cal Micro Recycling and December 2021 purchase of American Recycling Company.

“With tightening government regulations, increased awareness of proper disposal, quicker replacement of electronics goods and proper disposal of secure data, the electronics recycling industry is very attractive to Tide Rock,” Brooks Kincaid, President of Tide Rock Holdings, said in a press release. “Full Circle Electronics has been growing – organically and through acquisitions – across the country and we look forward to building a national brand with a coast-to-coast footprint.”

Full Circle has locations in California, Arizona, Colorado, Georgia and Florida that have been collecting, processing and refurbishing electronics for the last 20 years, along with providing data destruction services.

“With the acquisition, Tide Rock dramatically scales its recycling business to include expertise in electronics decommissioning and certified data destruction,” the release noted.

When Tide Rock acquired Ontario, Calif.-based Cal Micro Recycling in February, the company said the purchase diversified its materials supplier base and increased recycling opportunities.

Kincaid noted in a press release that “the ability to fulfill product destruction contracts, as well as glass, e-waste and mattress recycling, complements our existing holding, American Recycling, and its handling of bulk plastic, cardboard, paper, metal and organic waste. Together they provide comprehensive recycling services throughout California.”

Modesto, Calif.-based American Recycling was Tide Rock’s first recycling company acquisition. It handles paper, plastics, metals and organics in California.
