More foam polystyrene collection centers are opening in the U.S., and a clothing company introduces a new line made from recycled ocean plastics.

Sustainable fashion: A new fashion line from H&M includes recycled polyester made from beach plastics. In a press release, H&M describes the Conscious Exclusive collection, noting that it’s made from recycled PET yarn from Bionic.

Expanding foam collection: EPS products will be accepted at three new drop-off centers facilitated by Dart Container Corp. According to Plastics News, the locations in Idaho, Illinois and Oklahoma will accept a variety of EPS products for recycling into into picture frames, baseboards and crown molding.

Third-place finish: A startup pitching its plastic recycling technology placed third in the 2017 Extreme Tech Challenge. ReDeTec made it to the finals for its consumer product that recycles plastics into filament used in 3-D printing.
