Global ITAD company TES processed a slightly lower weight but higher quantity of assets in 2023, the company recently announced.

TES, which was bought in 2022 by SK ecoplant, on May 13 reported that it processed 224.4 million pounds of e-scrap last year, slightly less than 234.6 million pounds the prior year but more than the 208.6 million pounds in 2021.

The 2023 volume included 6.2 million devices, the company noted, while the higher 2022 volume included 3.7 million devices and 5 million parts and accessories. In 2021, TES processed 4.2 million devices.

In announcing its 2023 results, TES also reported its current global footprint includes 2.7 million square feet of processing area across more than 40 facilities worldwide. In the U.S., the company has facilities in Seattle, Las Vegas, Atlanta and its newest site in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The latest announcement added that TES is doubling the size of its Seattle facility and another in Germany to “accommodate the growing demands of both new and long-term clients.”

The latest announcement suggests TES is steadily progressing toward its goal of processing 1 billion kilograms of electronics cumulatively by 2030, or 2.2 billion pounds.
