Used device marketplace Back Market launched its Certified Renewed collection, which features devices that are refurbished directly by brand owners or their authorized refurbishers.

Jim Lynch, a longtime electronics reuse advocate and founder of nonprofit group TechSoup, retired from the organization at the end of June.

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) released the results of a test the organization performed on the media-wiping efficacy of BitRaser Drive Eraser software.

Nth Cycle, a recycling technology and metal processing company, hired Shawn Montgomery as vice president of operations.

Processor Sunnking reopened its Whitesboro, N.Y. processing facility after a closure due to COVID-19 impacts.

Sustainable Electronics Recycling International (SERI) published an interview covering ITAD Technologies’ experience becoming the first company certified to the R2v3 standard. SERI also appointed Brandon Bray, who previously worked at the U.S. EPA, to its board of directors.
