Reclaimer and equipment technology company Avangard Innovative plans to open a recycling facility in Indiana, slated to come on-line in 2024.

According to local news station WEVV, the Mount Vernon, Ind. facility will be situated on a 176-acre site and will be the company’s first location in the Midwest. The location was selected for its proximity to some of Avangard’s customers, the news station noted. Construction is set to begin in 2023.

Avangard recycles PE films used in the commercial sector into recycled resin and is based outside of Houston.

The company’s U.S. business was recently acquired by Waste Management (WM) when WM reached a deal to buy a majority stake in September.
