Industrial and specialty recycled material processor Enviri released its 2023 environmental, social and governance report, which touched on the electronics it recycles via its subsidiary Clean Earth.

According to the report, Clean Earth processed 130,000 short tons of alternative fuels, electronics, aerosol cans and batteries in 2023. The specific amount of e-scrap processed was not available, the report noted.

Overall, Clean Earth processed 4.3 million short tons of material in 2023, down slightly from the 4.4 million short tons it processed in 2022. The percentage of that material that was recycled or reused, however, ticked up slightly to 91% in 2023, from 90% the year before.

Parent company Enviri has a goal of deriving at least 90% of its annual revenue from its environmental solutions businesses by 2025, which include Clean Earth. In 2023, that percentage was 87%.
