Arcwood Environmental Services has completed its third acquisition in six months.
The company is expanding its solvent recycling offerings with the acquisition of MXI Environmental Services/Dynamic Recycling. Virginia-based MXI provides hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, recycling and environmental cleanup services.
“We’ve known MXI for years, and we were attracted to their core capabilities in Household Hazardous Waste and recycling services, as well as our shared values that prioritize responsiveness and customer service. We’re excited to welcome them to the Arcwood team,” said Arcwood CEO HP Nanda, in a statement.
The acquisition expands Arcwood’s reach in the eastern United States, folding in more than 150 MXI employees. In addition to latex paint recycling, MXI also offers aerosol processing and chemical neutralization.
The company processes nearly 19 million pounds a year of household hazardous waste at its coordination hub in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, and MRF in Abingdon, Virginia.
Ronald Potter, MXI president, said that after nearly 40 years of family ownership, the company is realizing its vision with the acquisition.
“After nearly 40 years of family ownership, we are excited to continue our mission within Arcwood,” he said. “Arcwood’s industry-leading expertise and strong growth trajectory will create significant growth opportunities for our exceptional team.”
