Federal Recycling & Waste Solutions is doubling its materials processing capacity in Colorado.

The St. Louis, Missouri-based company, which was founded 110 years ago, announced its Denver MRF would be moving to a new location in Commerce City, allowing it to widen its accepted material streams and introduce additional service offerings such as roll-off containers.

“Our team is thrilled for this next chapter of our Denver recycling operations and is poised to support businesses with their recycling needs and achievement of sustainability goals,” said Grayson Scott, Denver general facility manager.

The company aimed to tackle customer loading and unloading times, providing easier access to drop-offs, additional dock doors and staff and a new, advanced baler.

“The new space allows us to seamlessly service customers and attract new business with expanded capacity and capabilities,” Scott said.

President and CEO Sam Still said the company is excited to create better accessibility in the region, as well as a “broader range of recycling solutions and increased capacity.”

“This expansion showcases our commitment to being the area’s premier recycling partner and positions us to capitalize on the tremendous business growth in Denver and the surrounding region,” he said.

Federal Recycling & Waste Solutions has seven other plants throughout the United States that process paper, cardboard, plastic, metals, pallets, foam, glass and food waste.
