Braskem, the largest producer of polyolefins in the Americas, opened its Renewable Innovation Center in Lexington, Massachusetts, where it will work on developing renewable chemicals and materials. Braskem also released a line of PP made from used cooking oil, emphasizing that the resin retains the same properties as traditional virgin PP and can therefore be integrated into
the recycling stream.
