A fourth facility for MBA Polymers UK will give the plastics recycler a 35% capacity boost once it comes on-line in September.
MBA Polymers UK manufactures a range of recycled plastic resins including PP, PE, PS and ABS for the electronics, vehicle manufacturing and logistics management sectors.
The company noted in a press release that the Northeast England facility “is a pivotal step in its mission to establish a comprehensive nationwide plastic recycling network.”
Not only will it boost MBA Polymers UK’s overall capacity by 35%, the facility will also allow the company to expand its color range. The press release stated that in the past decade of operation, the company has diverted more than 250,000 metric tons of plastic from landfill.
Paul Mayhew, MBA Polymers UK general manager, said in the press release that “increasing recycled content of products and creating circular products is now essential” and the expansion positions the company to meet that demand.
