The company that owns the Schick and Skintimate disposable razor brands announced that it is now using up to 100% recycled plastic in the handles of some razors.
Shelton, Conn.-based Edgewell Personal Care announced that its Schick Xtreme 3 razors for men and its Skintimate three-blade razors for women are now using up to 100% PCR in the handles.
The publicly traded company has a goal of cutting its use of virgin plastic in all disposable razor handles in half by 2030.
Edgewell’s press release notes that the company has also launched a mail-in recycling program for disposable razors.
