News from Amcor, Circulate Capital and more

Packaging giant Amcor is investing $500,000 in Greyparrot, an AI-generated waste analytics company. 

Circulate Capital shared its 2022 Year in Review report, which shows that the company invested $80 million in 14 companies.

Closed Loop Partners released a survey on consumer perceptions of compostable packaging.

The European Commission shared its proposal for managing end-of-life vehicles, which would improve design circularity, increase the use of recycled materials in new vehicles to 25%, increase collection of vehicles and expand the scope of current legislation to buses and motorcycles.

MBA Polymers UK appointed Dean Lovell as business development manager, a role in which he’ll support the roll out of the company’s recently offered recycled ABS and other products.

Swedish plastics compounder Polykemi inaugurated its first U.S. factory in Gastonia, N.C. 

Africa Carbon & Commodities announced that its Deekali Plastic Project in Senegal has become Africa’s first plastics credit program registered with VERRA, allowing corporations to buy credits to offset their plastic footprints. 

Systemiq released a PET circularity study, laying out how Europe could create a high-circularity, low-emissions system for PET packaging and polyester textiles.
