The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has released a fact sheet to help keep garbage and recycling industry workers safe during the pandemic.
The CDC’s National Institute for Occupational Safety (NIOSH) published information covering steps employees and employers can take to prevent the spread of the virus. The document was produced at the request of the National Waste and Recycling Association (NWRA), according to an NWRA press release.
“We appreciate the CDC and NIOSH working with us to develop resources to ensure our member companies can keep their employees safe during this global health crisis,” Darrell Smith, NWRA President and CEO, stated in the release.
