American Beverage granted Rockford, Illinois $225,000 to modernize its curbside recycling program, which will help collect an additional 46 million pounds of recyclable materials, including nearly 2 million pounds of PET, over the next decade.
Columbus, Wisconsin-based American Packaging Corporation released a 100% polyethylene flexible packaging product for frozen food products. The flexible packaging is compliant with the Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR) Design Guide for PE film, and is aimed at replacing multi-material laminate packaging typically used in frozen food applications.
Shaving products manufacturer BIC reported on its business activities in 2023, noting it introduced a recycled-content shaver called the BIC EasyRinse. A refillable version of the shaver is made with 34% recycled plastic, the company noted.
Keurig Dr Pepper hired John Caturano as director of sustainability – packaging and product stewardship. Caturano previously served as a sustainability executive at Nestlé and Nestlé Waters.
