Plastics Recycling Update

Advanced Drainage Systems, among the largest plastics recycling companies in the U.S., announced Luke Kissam was elected as a new board member. 

American Beverage and The Recycling Partnership donated $664,000 to help expand recycling services in Fort Collins, Colorado. The city is moving to a contracted single-hauler program to make trash and recycling services more consistent.

Texas-based AmSty published its annual sustainability report, highlighting its efforts to increase access to PS recycling. AmSty produces styrene monomer, polystyrene and certified recycled polystyrene in the Americas.

Chemicals producer Eastman announced a partnership with Tri-Cities Airport in northeastern Tennessee to collect plastic. The collected plastic will be sorted and processed by the new mixed plastics processing facility, which is part of the PET chemical recycling plant at Eastman’s Kingsport, Tennessee, manufacturing site.

Waste hauler Republic Services received the National Waste & Recycling Association‘s 2023 Sustainability Game Changer Award for its first Polymer Center in Las Vegas.
