Againtek, an ITAD firm with locations in the U.S. and Canada, acquired Tech Trade Partners, which operates an ITAD facility in Oswego, Illinois.

The Recycled Materials Association, ReMA, issued a statement supporting Lee Zeldin’s nomination for administrator of the U.S. EPA.

Recycling hauler Republic Services developed an artificial intelligence-equipped collection truck that can detect lithium-ion batteries as material is collected from curbside carts into the truck.

SteriCycle, a specialty waste processing firm that handles e-scrap, received a $9.5 million fine from the U.S. EPA for hazardous waste violations. EPA said it is one of the largest Resource Conservation and Recovery Act fines in history.
