In Wisconsin, The Recycling Partnership provided a grant to help buy 6,900 curbside carts for 13 communities. Carts are scheduled to be distributed in early November. The group is also helping to provide education and outreach to residents.

With the switch to single-stream collection, Outagamie County will add cartons and additional plastic containers to its list of accepted materials. The county is located in eastern Wisconsin, roughly 120 miles north of Milwaukee. It includes the city of Appleton.

The Recycling Partnership is also making available a free online toolkit to help communities throughout North America boost participation and reduce contamination.
