PetroChem Wire: Recycled PET FDA pellet rises a penny

By Editorial Staff, Resource Recycling

Producers of prime PET, citing higher feedstock costs, increased prices as much as 3 cents per pound for August deliveries and lent support to rPET prices this month.

FDA, clear rPET pellets are up a penny in August versus July, with business done at 78-79 cents per pound, FOB East Coast. Spot prime bottle grade PET from Southern U.S. plants to the Midwest was 80-82 cents per pound, delivered in railcar quantities in early August.
