Manufacturer compliance lapses for some OEMs

By Editorial Staff, Resource Recycling

The Electronics Recycling Coordination Clearinghouse has issued a round of notices to non-compliant manufacturers operating in states with electronics recycling programs.

ERCC identified 17 companies that are not in compliance with various state programs, with most being out of compliance in two or more states. Under most state electronics product stewardship laws, manufacturers that are not in compliance with the law are barred from selling their covered electronic products in the state – either directly or through a third-party.

The organization provides information and resources for organizers and manufacturers participating in the 25 state electronics recycling programs. ERCC maintains a list of non-compliant manufacturers, updating the document as new program data becomes available. The list can be viewed here.
