Closed Loop Partners launched the Composting Consortium, which is focused on increasing recovery of compostable food packaging.

The Foodservice Packaging Institute (FPI) announced that more than 70% of Michigan households can now recycle paper cups and cartons in their curbside recycling programs, after two MRFs installed new technology with grant funds from FPI and the Carton Council.

GreenBlue released the Recycled Material Standard, a certification for recycled plastic feedstock. The standard has been in the works for several years.
