8 | New plastic recycling innovations profiled

Inventors are set to unveil a new food-grade recycling method for post-consumer PP packaging at this fall's Recycling Innovators Forum.

Although polypropylene is one of the most widespread resins used, its recycling rate consistently lags far behind PET and HDPE. This new technology allows PP food packaging to be completely decontaminated and reused in a closed loop back into food packaging. The new technology profiled at the forum will allow recycled PP to displace virgin PP with savings on resources, emissions and landfill.

Details on how the process works will be first available exclusively to attendees at the first annual Recycling Innovators Forum, to be held August 26 in Louisville, Kentucky. For more information on attending, visit www.recyclinginnovators.com or click on the banner below.
