2 | PRC 2012: Exclusive info on plastics recycling


How effective is the resin code identification system in recycling and how should it be updated? What are some ways bale quality can be improved? 3 | Iowa bottle bill survives


In Iowa, lawmakers gave serious consideration to repealing the state's 33-year-old bottle bill during the last legislative session. Although efforts to scrap the law failed, the Iowa Recycling Association is expecting a similar effort when lawmakers meet again later this year.

PepsiCo has launched it Dream Machine Recycle Rally for the upcoming school year. The national program seeks to get students in grades K-12 thinking about the benefits of recycling and gives participating schools a chance to earn rewards and compete for prizes.
