1 | APR releases grocery pilot results


Over 350 million additional pounds of scrap plastic could be recovered from grocery stores every year according to a recent pilot study by the Association of Postconsumer Plastic Recyclers.

3 | Bottled water boom continues


Consumption of bottled water continues to rise, despite efforts to curtail bottle use and effects of the poor economy, according to an annual analysis from the Beverage Marketing Corporation.

4 | Plastic exports rise in March


The volume of plastic scrap exported in March, at 405.31 million pounds, was up 8.9 percent from its February figure. When matched against its March 2011 position, the volume of exports rose slightly by 2.2 percent.
