After determining that 2013 quarterly statements "should no longer be relied upon," publicly traded E-Waste Systems, Inc. has released restated financials that show revenues were millions of dollars less than what the company initially reported.

Nonprofit organization Recycle Across America is now part of the R2 Recycling Leader program, which is designed to support efforts by companies and organizations to advance the responsible reuse and recycling of used electronics. The announcement was made by SERI, the organization that houses the R2 environmental standard. For more, click here.

The Maine Department of Environmental Protection is accepting applications from firms and groups interested in becoming approved consolidators in the state's e-scrap recycling program. Applications are due Oct. 1, 2014. More information can be found here.
