2 | E-Scrap 2012: What's recycling worth to you?

Placing a dollar sign on the value of an employee is a daunting task and so we often look to others in the industry to determine what salary is appropriate for a particular job. How does your company stack up against your competitors? Factoring in facility size, company size, job, title, education and a host of other aspects, groundbreaking research by E-Scrap News delves deep into the details of compensation in the e-scrap industry. This critical presentation is a prime opportunity for both employers and employees to get a better sense of this under-explored issue.

These fascinating findings will be presented at the 2012 E-Scrap Conference, September 19-20 at the Hyatt Regency Dallas in Dallas, Texas. For more information, visit www.e-scrapconference.com, or click the banner below.

7 | An apology

In the June 7 issue of the e-newsletter, E-Scrap News displayed an ad many of our readers found sexist and offensive. ESN emphatically apologizes for the ad, and for failing to filter out an advertisement that did not meet our own standard of quality. We have contacted both the ad agency and the advertiser regarding the complaints received and the incident has prompted a thorough review of our own advertising, editorial and quality control procedures. Please accept a humble apology from the entire staff at Resource Recycling, Inc.

In light of the controversy, ESN is working with a group of leading women in the industry regarding a future article on the role and experience of women in recycling.
