1 | ANAB weighs in on e-Stewards' R2 integration


Last week's coverage of R2 Solutions' response to the Basel Action Network provoked sharp controversy. The Basel Action Network had recently announced that the e-Stewards standard would include all R2 practices, effectively allowing firms to obtain both ISO 14001 and R2 by going through the e-Stewards certification process. E-Scrap News sought clarification on this issue from ANAB.

The U.K. Environment Agency has released figures on how much WEEE was collected in 2011, showing a steady rise in the collection rate in the country. The numbers also show that the U.K. needs to step up its efforts if it will meet a looming European Union target.
