American Beverage announced delivery of 1 million recycling carts to households across the country.

Recycled glass aggregate producer Aero Aggregates announced that its foamed glass aggregate was used as a backfill material in repairing a section of highway in Wyoming’s Teton Pass area. The aggregate was made using curbside glass sourced from central Florida.

Gov. Ron DeSantis vetoed a bill calling for a Florida recycling plan, calling it “unnecessary as it perpetuates a cycle of plans and reports without action and does not take into consideration that the private sector is continuously implementing innovative ways to reduce waste.” 

International Paper announced changes to its North American operations, including closing one recycling facility in Kansas and two in Mexico.

Sonoco named Chief Operating Officer Rodger Fuller as interim CEO for the company’s metal packaging division covering Europe, the Middle East and Asia, upon the death of CEO Tomas Lopez.
