Global packaging supplier Amcor indicated in its 2024 sustainability report that the company’s PCR purchases reached 9.4% – or 209,000 metric tons – of total volume, nearing the 2025 goal of 10%. The company also purchased 15,000 metric tons of recycled aluminum.

AMP named Tim Stuart, former chief operating officer at Republic Services, as its new CEO. AMP founder and previous CEO Matanya Horowitz transitioned into the role of chief technology officer. 

A university study funded by the Alliance to End Plastic Waste, conducted in association with Eunomia, examined the feasibility, cost and impact of a proposed mandatory single-use beverage deposit system for South Africa.

Solar panel recycling company Solarcycle announced a $62 million expansion in Polk County, Georgia, adding processing capacity of several million panels annually. The facility will be operational by the end of 2025.
