The American Forest & Paper Association testified against extended producer responsibility in Minnesota.

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory, or NREL, announced the latest round of no-charge technical assistance that’s available to U.S. state, local and tribal governments looking to advance waste-to-energy technologies. Applications are due by April 15.

The Northeast Recycling Council published its quarterly MRF commodity values survey covering the fourth quarter of 2023. It shows MRFs throughout its 11-state region reported a blended value of $95.75 per ton without the expense of handling residuals, a 32% increase from the prior quarter, and $86.71 with residual processing costs included.Waste360 announced the winners of its ninth-annual 40 Under 40 list, which recognizes young professionals in the waste and recycling industry.
