The California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) directed Carpet America Recovery Effort (CARE) to revise its differential assessment, increasing the amount consumers are charged when they buy carpet, in order to support recycling efforts.

Closed Loop Partners released its 2022 impact report, finding that it kept 4.8 million tons of material in circulation with 65 investments to date. 

Technology solutions provider Routeware Global announced it will acquire Recyclist, a software provider for recycling compliance and sustainability programs, for an undisclosed amount. 

Stadler is continuing its research into automated sensor-based solutions for textile sorting, building on its 2017 partnership with TOMRA that created a pilot plant in Sweden and the 2020 launch of an industrial-scale fully automated mixed textile facility .

A PET recycling pilot in El Paso, Texas run by Texans for Clean Water and Texan by Nature finished after collecting over 100,000 PET items over seven months.
