The Government of Canada announced Magemi Mining as the winner of its plastic waste reduction challenge, a company that makes a graphene oxide-reinforced paper that can replace plastic in bags. 

Iowa’s governor signed the state’s bottle bill changes into law. 

The Larry H. Miller Company invested in Recyclops Inc., a Utah technology startup that addresses environmental logistics, collects hard-to-recycle materials and helps scale recycling in rural areas.
