Bottled water supplier Chlorophyll Water announced a partnership with plastic offset platform rePurpose Global through which rePurpose will facilitate recovery of the equivalent of one ocean-bound plastic bottle for every Chlorophyll bottle sold.

Debby Lee Cohen, the woman behind a successful 2009 campaign in New York to remove foam lunch trays from schools, died in April at 64 years old. 

Google will publish a 70-page guide for companies that want to eliminate or reduce plastic packaging, as it’s on track to eliminate plastic from its consumer electronics packaging six months ahead of its 2025 target date. 

Tetra Pak released its 25th annual sustainability report, noting that it is continuing to invest around $43 million per year to increase the collection and recycling of carton packages worldwide, and that in 2023 collection of carton packages increased 7% globally, or about 1.3 million tons collected.
