Beyond Plastics and the Hip Hop Caucus launched a petition urging the U.S. EPA to ban vinyl chloride, a chemical used to make PVC. 

Clean Planet Energy selected engineering company Wood to design its first three ecoPlants, which will recycle plastics in New Jersey, Alabama and South Carolina. 

Evergreen joined the Cyclyx International consortium, whose mission is to increase the recyclability of plastic from 10% to 90%.

TotalEnergies and Paprec signed a long-term commercial agreement to develop a French value chain for chemical recycling of plastic films.

The U.K.’s University of Birmingham and engineering firm Stopford were awarded around $370,000 from Innovate UK to develop a chemical recycling process that uses hot compressed water as a solvent.
