Alterra Energy increased its production of synthetic crude oil, using a continuous process to turn about 45 million pounds of mixed plastic scrap into about 100,000 barrels of oil annually.

Plastic strapping manufacturer Greenbridge added a Cleveland location. 

Greenlabs Recycling launched a mail-in program for plastic can carriers outside the Greater Boston area, building on a pilot program. 

Milliken & Company is offering another DeltaFlow viscosity modifier, a solid concentrate that increases the melt flow rate of recycled PP for injection molding. 

Plastipak opened its fifth plant, located in Spain, which converts PET flake into food-grade recycled PET pellets. It is co-located with the company’s preform manufacturing site and will produce 20,000 tons of pellets annually. 

Canadian company Pyrowave announced a 99.8% pure recycled styrene monomer produced from used polystyrene.
