AMP Robotics developed an AI system targeting film and flexible plastic to help reduce contamination in paper streams. 

The Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR) added near infrared (NIR) sortable dark color concentrates to its Meets Preferred Guidance (MPG) Program.  

CRDC Global opened a RESIN8 plant in York, Pa. that can convert difficult-to-recycle plastics into a concrete additive. The facility is the first of its type in the U.S. and the second in the world. 

EREMA Group presented several recycling systems and services at K 2022 in Dusseldorf, Germany.

LyondellBasell and Indian recycler Shakti Plastic Industries plan to build and run a fully automated mechanical recycling plant in India. The plant would process rigid post-consumer packaging and produce 50,000 metric tons of recycled PE and PP per year. It will come on-line at the end of 2024.  

The Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) named Charlotte Dreizen director of sustainability and environment. 

Trex launched its 16th annual plastic film recycling challenge for K-12 students.
