An analysis from c7-consult found that recycled HDPE from packaging producer Alpla Group’s Suminco recycling plants have up to 88% fewer carbon-dioxide-equivalent emissions than virgin plastic. 

Chemex Global will construct a chemical recycling facility in Hebron, Ohio for Freepoint Eco-Systems. It will be able to handle 240 metric tons per day. 

Circular Plastics Australia opened a PET recycling facility in New South Wales that has a Starlinger recoSTAR PET 215 HC iV+ PET bottle-to-bottle recycling line capable of producing 2.5 tons of RPET per hour. 

Harmless Harvest will transition to 100% recycled plastic bottles for its coconut water and smoothie products in May. 

German company Heraeus Holding invested took a majority stake in perPETual Technologies, a German PET recycling company, and renamed it “revalyu Resources.”

Machinex opened an office in Phoenix to reinforce its West Coast presence.

The MultiCycle project finished a successful 42-month international collaboration to demonstrate how a circular economy for plastics could work.
