PetroChem Wire: Recycled Nylon Prices Rise in Early December

Nylon 66 repro and regrind prices were up 4 cents per pound last week on expectations of rallying crude and natural gas prices in December and a resultant rise in feedstock costs.

Nylon 66 post-industrial black repro was discussed at 66 to 68 cents per pound and nylon 66 PI unfilled black or mixed colors regrind at 45 to 49 cents per pound, both FOB East Coast.

The lifting of force majeure on Dec. 1 at Invista’s nylon 66 intermediates plant in Victoria, Texas affected mostly contract customers, market sources said.
