News from Call2Recycle Canada, Engie North America and more

Call2Recycle Canada released its 2024 annual report, noting that Canadians recycled 6.8 million kilograms (nearly 15 million pounds) of used batteries, higher by 17% on the year and setting a second consecutive annual record. 

Texas-based energy company Engie North America announced that in cooperation with Solarcycle it will pilot a new “precycling” provision to incorporate solar panel and project component recycling into initial agreements at four projects.  

Electronics manufacturers trade association IPC changed its name to the Global Electronics Association.
