Compliance Standards launches awareness campaign

ITAD advising firm Compliance Standards launched an advertising and marketing initiative to showcase best practices in IT asset disposition. 

“The ITAD Academy 2023” will educate IT leaders and managers on proper IT asset disposition practices, promote leading ITAD companies and help ITAD companies connect with IT leaders, according to a press release

David Daoud, principal analyst at Compliance Standards, said his company started the campaign because ITAD “has long been ignored and efforts by leading ITAD service providers to elevate the industry remain largely ineffective.” 

“Our research indicates that the industry has to be more proactive to educate corporate users in the sensitive areas of data security, the environment and so many other key functions important to companies,” he said. “We hope this initiative will start the process of standardizing and centralizing knowledge on ITAD practices.” 

Compliance Standards plans to alternate among media outlets each quarter to reach a wide audience and also use its CS Lead Capture Platform, CS ITAD Leadership Brand Promotion and CS Publishing, along with direct promotion and messaging.

“The campaign will be rolled out on the quarterly basis, with sponsors offered the opportunity to  contribute to any campaign’s length to accommodate the go-to-market strategy, budget and other requirements,” the press release noted. 

Compliance Standards will hold a conference call on Feb. 16 at 2 p.m. EST to discuss the campaign. Daoud will present research on how ITAD customers purchase services and on buyers’ touch points during the call.
