Apple’s Self Service Repair option is now available in the U.S. and will expand to additional countries later this year. However, iFixit wrote that it sees several problems with the program. 

Cascade Asset Management was awarded a group purchasing agreement for equipment recycling and e-scrap management with Premier. Effective May 1, Premier members can get special pricing and terms. 

Metal processor Nth Cycle hired Guillermo Espiga as vice president, head of business development. 

The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality set its e-scrap collection targets for 2023 at 14.2 million pounds, up 23% from the 2022 target of 11.5 million pounds. Of that 14.2 million pounds, 70% are projected to be TVs and 30% computing devices. 

S3 Recycling Solutions announced Brian Moyer, former president and CEO of the Greater Nashville Technology Council, joined its board of advisors for a three-year term effective May 1.
