U.K.-based online electronics and appliances retailer AO has recycled over five million household appliances since 2017 at its Telford, England location. 

Battery technology startup Britishvolt and metals and mining firm Glencore announced plans to build a lithium-ion battery recycling plant at Glencore-owned Britannia Refined Metals in Kent, England. 

Comcast Cable partnered with Echo Environmental Holdings to recycle coaxial cables, breaking them down into not just the metals, but separating the polymers for recycling as well. 

The Global Electronics Council (GEC) announced Carl Smith will be acting CEO during the search for a new CEO. Smith is the retired CEO of battery stewardship group Call2Recycle and is GEC’s prior board chair. 

The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) announced the formation of its Brands Leadership Council, intended to connect brand owners with recycling companies to address recycling supply chain challenges. 

Canadian lithium-ion battery recycling startup Lithion Recycling received a first-round  investment of up to $98.3 million from IMM Investment Global Limited and Fondaction.
